Front Slide Cut:First option in Gunbuilder is Front Slide Cut. More info on slide options can be found here.
Bubba has Xcelerator.
Bettan has none.
Dalmas has Xcelerator.
Guide Rod:
Next option is the Guide Rod. Pre selected is the Stainless Steel. I have no experience with others. Tungsten could be an option if you have the polymer grip but will most likely be a little on the heavy side with a stainless grip.
I need to find out more about the short stainless as I've never seen it in a full size gun.
Panel Cut:
The panel cut is both a functional and cosmetic design option, it is also closely linked to the rear slide serrations. Depending on where you grip the gun when you rack the slide the panel cut places the serrations in different places or in the entire panel cut.
Bubba has a panel cut, and freeform serration with Infinity engraving in the whole cut.
Bettan has a normal cut.
Dalmas Has
Radial Flute:
The radial flute goes the entire length of the slide, it's more cosmetic than a slide lightening option. I have a 5 sided slide on Bubba and therefore the Radial flute is not as visible. It will be more visible on a 3 sided slide. I like it.
Rear Lightening:
This is not an option for a Standard / Limited gun as it is the place for the rear sight. On open guns this is an option to reduce the weight of the slide, and a place to put the slide racker.
Rear Slide Cut:
Basically the same as the front slide cut but you have two more custom options in the JPoint and Docter Xcelerator serrations that are fit for those respective sights. 20 LPI is the standard option. Slide Options
Slide Material:
Carbon on Stainless steel. I like the looks of the stainless better but all that know something about steel say that carbon is better.
Bettan and Bubba are both stainless Dalmas is carbon.
Slide Profile:
Here you have an option that is pretty important. A round top slide profile will not fit the IPSC Standard box with +2 basepads, it is also heavier. The difference between 3,5 & 7 sided slides is mainly cosmetic. The radial flute is very influential in the overall look of the slide profile. Round top w/ Raised rib is if you want a classic round top with a sight tracker, then the rib on the barrel has to be raised. Bubba is 5 sided with radial flute. Bettan is classic round top. Dalmas i 3 sided.
Slide Racker / Lightening:
Another option for the Open guns. Do you want an racker or not. If you do lightening is automatic( I think). For Standard guns its a No.
Stirrup Cut:
The stirrup cut is both a slide lightening option but also a very distinct visual feature. I really like the looks of the Butler Cut, especially with Xcelerator cuts. The classic stirrup cut is usually used with standard length dustcovers. Bettan has none, Bubba was supposed to have a butler cut but I didn't know enough back then. Dalmas has normal stirrup and a short dustcover due to the added weight of the stainless grip.
Top Rib:
Another option that is more than visual. Individual taste determine if you want it or not. One thing to bear in mind is that the top rib regardless of LPI (Lines Per Inch) removes any kind of unwanted reflexes that could occur. I would not design a serious competition gun without Top Rib.
That was the last option for the slide options.
