Herbert Jacob and team sure put on a good show every year. 18 stages that really put every IPSC skill to the test. The organization around the match with score sheets, squadding, patchers, RO's, food, helpers and sponsors is second to none. This is also why the get away with stuff that other matches would be cut to pieces with if they did the same thing. What I'm thinking about is the carnival stage with the monster double swinger, covering it with PTs was a mistake, it would have been difficult and fun without the PT wall.
I shot day 1 really well, to the level of my training, yes there were a few things that could have been better but overall after stage 1-10 I was doing pretty well and left the range happy.
I woke up day two with a bad feeling, I did my mental programming before each stage but couldn't rid the awkward feeling. I dropped the ball in the area of the range where the light is a little more dim and on stages where i usually do pretty well, technically difficult stages. I shot 5M and 2PT on day two. More that what I've done at the last two world shoots combined. Sometimes the feeling just isn't there, but I did finish really well with two long courses.
